Vahini Development Society is a registered non-governmental organization based in Karnataka
Vahini Development Society is a registered non-governmental organization (NGO) working in the field of education, Health, Sanitation, Natural Resource Management, Women Empowerment, Skill development, and livelihood programmes. The Ngo is based in Karnataka works towards the promotion of sustainable development. Since the beginning, we have been working in the fields of health, hygiene, sanitation, organic farming and farmers’ collaboration. Through our interventions, we have transformed the lives of many persons. With a generous support from you, we can further expand our activities, benefit many more and contribute to a better society. Farmers are our Beneficiaries’ ,till now 8500 farmers have been benefitted from government funding agencies .

Our Programs
Water shed Development
One of the major intervention of Vahini was its involvement in natural management and land development activities like soil and water. We started Water shed at Udagani and Kaniya villages of Shikaripura taluk, Shivamogga district in the year 2008 covering a total of 1258.64 hectares of land.
Rural Drinking Water and Sanitation Program
Department of national rural drinking water and sanitation. Bellary has been funded to implementing IEC activities. Under this program series of IEC activities like training, wall writings, street plays, Jathas and various competitions are conducted for PRI members, SHGS, ASHA workers, Anganwadi workers, Government officials and teachers.

Workshop Training about Organic Farming
we conducted workshop training for five days about the conversion of solid waste into fertilizer through solid waste management. This was organized from 28th September to 02 October,2021.our aim was to spread awareness on how we can utilize solid waste management. the activity was conducted at Raichur district, 4 of our staff members were successful in reaching out to 34 beneficiaries. these beneficiaries were mainly members of the Self Help Group(SHG).Mahalakashmamma. Workshop Training at Koppal
we conducted a five days workshop training about the conversion of solid waste into fertilizer through solid waste management. street play about pipe composting
on the 31st of August 2021, we organized and performed a street play.we wanted to spread awareness among the community people about pipe composting. therefore street play seemed like a very creative way to do that. K Shivakumar, CEO of the organization was present at the moment,4 of our staff members conducted it at Bellary.we were successful in reaching out to 20-25 house members. it was a fun initiative and as performing arts are always impactful, we feel we made a difference by it.25-Aug-2021
Covid Rehabilation program
In the month of July and August, we conducted two initiatives distribution of grocery kits and distribution of sewing machines, electrical kits, marketing umbrellas, and weighing machines, respectively. The grocery kits were distributed under the COVID rehabilitation program in hosapete Taluk. 15 of our staff members, along with Sridhar. Sagar Taluk co-ordinator, Suresha H R program officer, Anisa Salma ADA, and Sidghatullah Taluk Tahsildar we were able to reach out to 600 members from low-income families. While for the second initiative, our goal was to help and support underprivileged people to get back on their feet. 20-30 of our staff members were successful in helping around 170 beneficiaries to get self-employed. Both of these initiatives were quite successful and our goals were met.Our Impact
